A friend is in desperate need for a copy of the Summer 2000 WB promo set to "Oh What a Night". It's the one that featured stars of the WB shows that season. Here's some screencaps from an Ian Somerhalder site to remind you. (God I miss Young Americans.)

Is it considered taunting if I tell you have it somewhere on disc but I'll never be able to find it? Because I do. And I never will.

(I have, like, 500 unlabled/badly labeled discs of computer files. I like to avoid their existance.)

I'm working on uploading all the 1400 some odd caps right now. I can only upload 10 at a time and I have to include, like, info, with each uploaded picture. It's such a chore. But you can watch me as I do it. (http://www.gay-as-blazes.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=4)

And I will so make icons once this cap business is laid to rest.

Uhm, though I am worried that I may feel the need to cap the second episode as well. Dammit. Why do I do these things? :((

okay, you're doing a hell of a job. gorgeous quality, and i feel like i'm watching the actual ep from those caps. just..GAH.

but if i were you i'd do it only when it's an extremely special ep. The Season Premiere. That Shane Exclusive Ep Where She Tricks A Lot. The Ep Where Tonya Burns In Hell And Alice/Dana Shippers Rejoice. Etc.

and maybe it doesn't have to be freakin' 1400 caps per episode?

I have a problem with capping. As in, I have a problem making less than 750 caps for anything. Its like a disease. Because, the actor moves his/her face an inch, and I'm like, well maybe THAT will make a perfect icon/graphic/wallpaper/whatever for somebody, and so I cap it. And then they raise their eyebrows, and I'm like, well maybe THAT will make a perfect.... and the capping goes on and on and on. :((

Yes. I think I should do what I do in the QaF fandom. Just make a few caps per episode for my icons. But there is no one in the L Word fandom like paddies! So I feel... this strange obligation to do make screencaps. This sense of obligation will intensify once I go live with the cap gallery and people squee over them. :((

The L Word doesn't have much of an artistic community at all yet. It's sort of exciting, actually. THE POWER IS ALL MINE!!!!

Ian was on Young Americans? Where have I been?

Although I should have known. Most young hot stars like that, that end up on the WB end up in multiple shows. Never just one.

And now I have to hunt through all my disks and see if I can find that promo. I had it once, and I think I burned it for disk before my computer got wiped out the first time. At least I hope I did.

And YES Ian sure was. So was Kate Moennig and Kate Bosworth. I loved that show and was so sad it was cancelled. I can get you the eps if you're interested. They're not good quality, though. I long for the DVD release...
