Happy sigh.
Apr. 16th, 2005 02:14 amI had a *wonderful* evening with the hilarious, smart, and super-nice
tzikeh,
renenet, and Zen.
First off - tzikeh? Is owner of The Most Comprehensive Fannish Library in the history of humankind. I got to her place and whoa - everything you'd ever want or need in anything fannish was there. And that's not even half of her entire collection. I was in a candy store! There may have been drool around the Farscape aisle.
So we watched and squeed and finished the Look at the Princess trilogy (the ending scene!! MY GOD!!!) just in time for us to leave.
We stopped by this vintage toy store that had *everything* you could think of from your childhood. It was so great. Got myself some angel wings, cause this year at VividCon? I'm gonna go as, per tzikeh's suggestion, the Continental Principality of America!!!
I... I... I...
Fluor, Phosphor, Lumen, Candle...
Ahem. I need some gold makeup.
Anyway. The peak of our evening was going to see Redbird (Peter Mulvey, Jeffrey Foucault, Kris Delmhorst), who were just *amazing* live. Very emotional. Smooth. At ease. They have wonderful dynamics and it was clear how much they just adore each other. Oh, and I mostly didn't expect them to be so hilariously funny. Hee.
Despite tzikeh's requesting efforts, though, they didn't end up performing "Thistledown Tears". But I feel like hearing Jeffrey's voice live was enough. And man -- they were HOT. Alone, together, any duo within. We'll take what we can get ;))
Show over, we went to get ice cream and watched a little more Farscape at tzikeh's. Too much love.
I'm so tired now. Thanks again tzikeh and renenet for inviting me ::hugs youuuuu::
