f1renzeWow, work *so* does not suck right now.
So back in February, I submitted a couple of papers to this conference. Nothing unusual; I've presented there before, etc. But this year the conference will be held IN ITALY. A gorgeous island 45 kms from Milan. Gah. I have never been to Italy, and if I get to go, expenses would be covered. So, naturally, I WANTED THIS SO BAD, OH MY GOD.
But of course, due to the beautiful location, everyone's submitting something and I bet it's their best work and I heard more than once that things are more competitive this year. So eep - I've just been extremely nervous for the past two months. Please, let one of my papers be accepted...
A few minutes ago, I got a notice! Both my papers are in! I AM GOING TO ITALY THIS SUMMER WAHHH!!
