Age: old enough to know better
Preferred program: well, I don't know about preferred, but all I know how to use is Premiere 6.0. *g* And VirtualDubMod, and a wee bit of Avisynth.
Favorite vid: One of my own? I've only made three, but my favorite is still my first vid, an Iolaus portrait called Live Till I Die (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/vids/index.html). Other people's vids...oy, how to choose.
Favorite vidders in LJ-land:
Fandoms: I read, write, screencap and vid in Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, and I've also made a Labyrinth vid. (http://www.squidge.org/~marycrawford/vids/index.html) With other fandoms, I'm more on the sidelines. I watch Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: Atlantis on a regular basis, and I'll watch vids in just about any fandom.

Name: sisabet (an easy one - I totally NAILED that one. I know my name)
Age (optional): Age is soooo not optional. Time happens, no opting out. I'm 30 - don't I seem wise?
Preferred program: I don't know that I prefer it so much as I use it but Adobe Premiere 6.5
Favorite vid - your own and/or others': I can't look up links at work. I know it says links only but I suck.
Current favorite vid: Scooby Road (and HAH! There is no link. I totally win at life) by Luminosity. Cause it is a vid - a 45 minute, multi-song EXPERIENCE.
My favorite vid of my own vids is probably "Two Words" but that is really just because someone sent me very nice feedback on that vid recently so now it is my favorite. If someone sent me feedback on another vid it might be my new favorite. I totally whore out my kids for feedback, yo. It is all "Get me a nice email or I will withhold affection" morning noon and night on my site. Which is here: www.sisabet.com because Flo rocks.

Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?:
I am a serial monagomous when it comes to reading fic and I actually don't read in every fandom I feel fannishly about. It is strange and weird but also me so I don't question it. Past involvements have been X Files, BtVS/AtS, QaFUS, Smallville and I am now obsessed with Due South with some SGA on the side.
I am totally fannish about Farscape and BSG and Firefly but I don't really read much in those fandoms. Possibly because I am a pairing whore for fic and I haven't needed fic in any of those fandoms (yet).
Vidding fulfills something completely different, though. I just don't have words for what that is - possibly this is why I vid.
A little about yourself: I am an aquarius and I work in a cubicle and I have a dog named Sid and I drive a buick and I want a cat but only if I can have a roomba to chase it and I rent instead of owning and I am right handed and noncoordinated and am currently extremely high on allergy meds. OH! And soon I will have an iPod and it will come in on a white horse and whisk me away to a magical land where I can live all day and only listen to music I like and my iPod will love me and we will be together forever. The End.

Favorite vidders in LJ-land:
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: EVERYTHING. In the past I have vidded QaF, Oz, TF&TF (movie), Gia (movie), Jeremiah, Numb3rs, Nightmare Before Christmas (movie), SGA, Firefly -- upcoming vids I have planned include more SGA, Prison Break, Shawshank Redemption (movie), Serenity (movie). For actual novels I like sci-fi and fantasy. With fanfic I will read anything, including fic for fandoms to which I know absolutely nothing about the source.
A little about yourself: I vid and write fic. I've been writing more fic lately. I'm a strong believer in meta, the discussion of theory, looking deeper into any sort of medium, be it visual or textual. I like cold weather and hot tea.

Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: Lordy, my love is both boundless and fickle, and frequently doubles back on itself. Usually sci-fi or something with a fantasy element is guaranteed to catch my inner magpie, but notable exceptions have been Pros and Bones so ... you know, show ho.
A little about yourself: I have the attention span of a mayfly on amphetamines and no discernable sense of shame. These are my good points.

Favorite vidders in LJ-land:
Fandom info: My first fandom was DC comics, which I'm still active in. Right now I'm really into Stargate: Atlantis, Everwood, Supernatural and Veronica Mars; I write fic in all of the above fandoms, mostly slash.
A little about myself: We-ell, I'm liberal, female, a feminist; I grew up in Salt Lake City (not mormon) and live there currently. I'm open to het and slash and prefer to squee rather than gripe about my fannish loves. I don't friend everyone who friends me, but I try to friend people who have lots of the same interests as me, and even if I don't friend back that doesn't mean I won't check out your journal from time to time.

Preferred program: Final Cut Pro; when I vidded with a PC, I used and adored Premiere 6.5. Yeah, I said "adored." And I meant it!
Favorite vid - your own and/or others': My favorite vid of my own is probably...sheesh. I don't know. Take A Chance On Me, because it's the only vid I've made where I can watch it now without wanting to change anything about it. My favorite vid by someone else is, well, I have to cheat and choose one from multiple fandoms. SOS by
Favorite vidders in LJ-land: So many!
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: My first fandom was Firefly, then Buffy, then Angel. Now that list includes Farscape, Doctor Who (2005), Carnivale, Deadwood, Stargate Atlantis, Horatio Hornblower, Battlestar Galactica (new), and I'm just barely starting to get into Due South. Vidding has also become it's own fandom for me, and I'll watch vids for any source these days. I don't read much fic, but when I do it's in Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Farscape, Doctor Who, or SGA.
A little about yourself: I pretty much keep my LJ ramblings restricted to fannish things; I tend to squee a lot and dissolve into Internet teen speak when I'm first getting into a new show, although I try to pass it off as cogent episode reviews. I have two cats, two dogs, and a new kitten that I keep inflicting pictures of upon my flist. I make icons in my spare time, which is a good thing because I always need an icon when I get a new fandom and lately I've been picking up new fandoms like they're Tic Tacs. I love my TiVo. I also seem to love talking about myself. Hee. Oh - two more things. Go Chargers! And, like

Preferred program: Just really starting to move beyond WMM. Currently working with EditStudio. Well, as soon as I stop being lazy and start pulling clips, that is.
Favorite vid - your own and/or others': I've only done two, and of those my favorite is "All Star" (http://infanity.ficlaundering.com/movingpictures/), though I desperately want to redo it now that I've watched a zillion other vids and have a better handle on the process technically and artistically. Fave vids by others? Yeesh. Many. I need put together a favorite vids page. Here's three that are on constant replay lately: "Dancin' in the Light" (http://www.bonuspoints.net/vidstuff/index.html) by
Favorite vidders in LJ-land:
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: The fandom in which I'm fannishly active is Stargate SG-1, though I am a media whore and am at least somewhat fannish (read fic/watch vids) about Buffy, Firefly, Atlantis, Farscape, Jeremiah, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Smallville, The OC, etc. and so forth.
A little about yourself: Relatively new to media fandom (four years), very new to vidding, longtime SF/Fantasy fan. I am a giant nerdy dork and embrace that fact with an enthusiasm that occasionally embarrasses the spouse. Two cats, one job as an executive secretary at a Big Ten Public University, one MA in education that I have no intention of using, except to apply all that theory background to fandom. I love bad sci-fi, bad disaster movies, and bad fic. I also like the good versions of all those, but I am definitely an aficionado of low-brow entertainment.

Preferred program: Adobe Premiere Pro. Other than WMM its the only programme I've ever used, so no competition there.
Favorite vid - your own and/or others': Of my own vids Buffy: Abridged is the one I actually like the most, but I Remember, though I'm completely dissatisfied with a million things about it now, is probably the one I'm proudest of.
Of other people's vids...argh, how to limit it to just one choice?! Going on sheer number of times watched, it would have to be either Volcano Girls by dualbunny or Superstar by here's luck. Also, though I watch it less often, schism by vrya.
Favourite vidders in LJ-land:
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: - In terms of watching: Buffy, Firefly, Lost, and I recently fell hard and fast for Veronica Mars. I also love comedy, especially (but not limited to) British comedy: The Office, Extras, Green Wing, Peter Kay, The Royle Family, Dinnerladies, Little Britain, Will & Grace, South Park. In terms of reading-based fandoms: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia. Thats the canon books themselves though - I don't read fanfic in any fandom.
A little about yourself: I tend to go through phases with LJ - sometimes I go for quite a while without posting but I'm currently in a fairly post-y sort of place. I mainly talk about films, TV, books, vidding, and throw in a bit of RL as well. Recently *all* I've been talking (or, OK, squeeing) about has been Veronica Mars. What else...I live in London and occasionally talk about various theatre/museum-y trips I've been on there. Oh, and I've been experiencing a bit of vidders-block of late, and haven't actually finished any new vids since March. I'm hoping I'm going to be snapping out of that phase soon. I generally friend back everyone who friends me.

Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: I love BtVS, AtS, Farscape, Veronica Mars, Firefly, Wonderfalls, Six Feet Under, Gilmore Girls, Due South, and The L Word. I'm behind on but adore Battlestar Galactica (new), Invisible Man, and House, and I just got into Highlander. I rarely read fic, but occasionally I get in the mood for Angel/Spike or dS or VM fic. Or Highlander, now!
A little about yourself: I'm a graduate student who has absolutely no power over puppies.

A little about yourself: I've been in fandom since 2000 and been vidding since about 2001 -- though badly, admittedly. Uh...I watch anything, I've been known to vid anything, and I am madly in love with Matchbox Twenty. I think that's me in a nutshell!

Favorite vid - your own and/or others': Well, we only have the one (http://thekimera.net/hosted/fbt/happybirthday-final.zip) (The Happy Happy Birthday Song, Smallville).
Favorite vidders in LJ-land: We're pretty new... don't really have any yet.
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: Oh, you know, this and that.
A little about yourself: Our vids (or, okay, yes, just the one, but there will be more in the future. unfortunately.) tend to be on the silly side. It's a thing. Just roll with it.

Favorite vid - your own and/or others': Of my own, my sentimental favorite of my own is Walk Away, my first vid and Volcano, one that I made last summer but isn't up due to tech reasons. Hopefully I'll be getting a new website for Christmas to host all of my videos. There are too many favorites of others but my all time favorite would be Superstar by
Favorite vidders in LJ-land: In no particular order,
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: Smallville (Lex/Lana, Clark/Lex), Highlander (Duncan/Methos), Queer as Folk (Brian/Justin, (Drew, Ted, Brian)/Emmett), Firefly (Mal/Simon, Anything Mal), Veronica Mars (V/almost anyone, Duncan/Logan, Logan/Weevil), Grey's Anatomy (Cristina/Burke, Burke/George, Burke/Izzie), Harry Potter (Snape/Lupin), Nip/Tuck (Christian/Julia, Sean/Christian), Lost. Don't read a ton of fic but love videos, art and meta in all.
A little about yourself: I started vidding in late 2002-2003 and then took a long hiatus from 2004-mid 2005 in which I watched many videos and read a lot of meta again. Now I’m starting to vid again in many of the fandoms I’ve picked up along the way. I love vidding because it combines three of my favorite things, art, music and story and allows me to be creative in a way that I’m limited in doing any of them alone. Besides vidding, I love animals, especially cats and psychology, reading, romance and staying up late. I am an INFP in mbti terms and I fall in love with NT’s. My dream is to go to California. I like meeting interesting people.

Favorite vid - your own and/or others': Oh, this is so not fair, because my current fave is the one I just finished, but haven't released yet! Um, barring that...::looks at site::...probably Rook. I still don't think I've made a better vid than Rook, although there are some I actually like more in a warm snuggly way (like Some Fantastic and Ing, for example) or in an "I quietly rock" way (like Come Together). I dunno. I suck at picking favorites. (:
Favorite vidders in LJ-land:
Maybe a little fandom info - what do you like to watch? read?: The only show I'm watching regularly is Battlestar Galactica. I am a snob. It really gets in the way of my fandom. :p I don't read much fanfic these days, but I still consume one or two novels a week. I also read cookbooks as though they were literature.
A little about yourself: Hm. I am currently a Bad Vidder, No Biscuit because I have watched a bunch of vids lately and haven't sent feedback for them. Normally I'm better about that. I value the creative and social aspects of fandom more than almost anything else in my life. I was born a poor black child. I'm a lover, not a fighter.
