L Word 2x04

- To my surprise, I'm liking Jenny and Shane's friendship. A LOT. The roommate interviews were so adorable!

- That scene where Joyce and Tina were appraising that painting in the house? WTF was that voice Tina Tina Tina...?

- Joyce is the ultimate in G-R-O-S-S. I love Tina more than ever.

- Shane offered to call Carmen over for Jenny. I wanted to cry for her.

- I didn't know Camryn Manheim was guest-starring! COOL. Shane is "Poster child for the undernourished and gender-confused". Hee!

- I'm so excited about Shane's new job! And scared :-SS

- Oh Dana Dana Dana! :((:(( Why is it so hard to just leave Tonya, I just don't get it.

- Watching Bette's Helena Peabody scenes was like watching Ted Schmidt knit.

- LOVER'S SPIT for Bette/trick. WHY?!?!!! It's a sacred and holy song!!! ::seethe!!!:: ETA: It's the morning after and I'm over it. I can't handle people accusing the L Word of copying QaF.

- Loved the end scene with the haircutting. Didn't expect it to be so moving, WAHHH!

And the promo for next week looks fab! Life Hopeful.

Oh sweetheart, I agree on everything above. I'm a Jenny fan, yeah I know lol. But I just relate with her on lots of levels. The Shane/Jenny friendship is really interesting to me!

I was all ready to freak out when they walked into The Planet holding hands. But now, AWWWW!!!

I agree with everything you said especially the part about Lover's Spit . OMG, I started freaking out when I heard it! They so don't have permission to use that song! I was also surprised about the ending haircut scene being so moving. I'm really interested to see what her hair looks like now, too!

It is not a song about the disfunctional, thank you very much. I don't think it was intentional, but I'm feeling all sorts of protective, here :-<

Yes, if they absolutely had to use it, they could have at least put it to good use and played it during a better scene...it just didn't mesh well with the Bette downward spiral thing cause I kept thinking about B/J love!

I'm sure they didn't steal the song on purpose or anything, but I was just starting to feel like the show was separating itself from QAF and then they used that song. I may need a little more time to get over this. Lol.

It was so Friday the 13th. lol

I was quite put out by the co-opting of the B/J reunion song! *sob* Why indeed? There are about a bajillion other songs they could choose.

The haircutting scene may be my favorte EVER. I think I died a little.

Poor Carmen. :(

Never have I wanted to know so badly what Jenny was thinking - IN CLEAR WORDS , PLEASE! - until that scene. AHHH!

The earth's rotation is shifting. I think I liked more than 50 percent of Jenny's scenes.

What an interesting turn, yes? I'm starting to get used to this constantly-evolving nature of the show.

Dammit -- this episode was acutally making me like Jenny, which threw me into a terrible state of confusion and angst. But she was almost acting like a sane person in this episode. I loved the hair-cutting scene, too.

Ew...creepy new roommate.

I was suprised they used Lover's Spit -- and a bit disappointed, because of course that's gonna trigger the whole "L-word is nothing but a rip-off of QAF with no merit on it's own" posts my flist.

And that's exactly what's happening. Bleh.

Jenny: EWAN NO! *HOLDS UP HAND IN FRONT OF HER FACE*

Oh I loved the interviews. And the whole time I was waiting for a Christian roommate to come in and be like "YOU SINNERS". That timid girl with the pamphlet will do.

holy crap...I totally didn't realize that was Camryn Manheim! I saw her name in the credits, though "huh, cool" and then absolutely didn't recognize her when she showed up...and that was what? 3 episodes ago? and I STILL didn't realize it until I just read this. Heh. clueless.

Also, hi :)
