Wow! Amazing vid. The song choice is so perfect.

I'm so excited that you finally posted this vid.

When I saw the first draft of it, you just captivated me so much, I had to see what this show was about and now I am hooked! It's always an amazing feat when you can get people into a show because of a vid.

Things that I really like about this vid. The echos, that is probably my favorite part. It just fit so well in that section and it was seductive and erotic, which was such an important part of this story. I also loved the ending and the build up of the story.

My one comment that I didn't make while you were working on this, but can make now. This was one of those instances where it just *looked* like the song was written for the subject matter. It flowed together so well... You should be *so* proud of this video.

OK. First, you know I love this vid, and seeing it for the first time since I at least finished the pilot (and by now, know the words of this song), it's started to come together for me so nicely. I will have *real* thoughts or feedback once I actually finish watching the vid.

The song choice here is phenomenal. It really does sound though the song was made for the vid. But, when I listened to the song sans vid, it didn't have the same "of course it was made for Hex" feeling, so much credit has to go to you for shaping the song such that it feels as though the clips fall into place automatically.

Favorite parts:

I like the framing of the story early on with the "you can close your eyes, it's over now" part, and then cutting to the school/beginning. Works well.

"Have you ever been afraid like this" - the way you did this felt very reminiscent of Jossverse characters awaking from dreams

The drop of blood falling. Just... :X:X:X

"Watching me" and the bathroom mirror scene...oh, screw it, the entire verse..."that misty thing" - this is where the song REALLY starts to feel as though it was written by people for Hex.

"Without a face" and the branch falling - this just works for me. A lot.

"It weaves my thoughts" and the cup in midair - because, dammit, it's wingardium leviosa, and I recognized the clip when I was watching the pilot, and it just looks really nice. And I am starting to list every clip.

"Tomorrow I will have no shame / I will start again" - setting the classmate on fire and then the determined walk...

"Tell me, have you ever felt alone like this" - AAAAH.

I like "tell me, have you ever been exposed like this", even though I don't know what that refers to

And I love the ending, although I still have to guess at meanings a bit, so I won't comment too much yet. (notice how many of my comments are about what I can already recognize ;)

So much love. This vid has to be one of your best >:D< Expect to hear much more incoherent praise once I understand more of the meanings behind the vid as I watch.

Heya - just had to stop by on the run this morning. I d'l'ed this last night when I was utterly exhausted, and watched it, and was totally mesmerized. I know nothing about Hex - will have to do some poking around at some point and see if I can find episodes. Didn't care. Vid is utter, total, genius, and one of the most beautiful vids I've ever seen. I never have gotten over my awe and joy re: Elevation, and now you've blown my mind again, truly. More watching and more specifics about what I love so much later, I hope, although it feels like this is so far above my skill level that I'm not even sure how to articulate my amazement and vid-love. You are just astonishingly good at this. Thank you for sharing your gifts.

I'm glad the vid was interesting enough without familiarity with the show. I didn't expect it to go over well for non-fans, but sisabet, being the extremely thoughtful viewer she is, got much out of it and made me think it *could* be accessible for more people. Plus, Hex is just a gorgeous-looking show all around.
